I had my first problem today with my iPhone. Someone was trying to call me and when it said "Slide To Answer", I tried sliding the thing but it wasn't moving or anything. Now whenever I want to unlock my phone and such, it's nonresponsive for a while. What should I do?

When I saw your problem, I had to register. I had this problem as well. I cleared it up by doing a hard reset to the iPhone by holding the home key and the sleep/wake key until you see the silver apple logo appear (the power off will come up, but wait for the apple logo). I haven't had this problem since I reset it.

My first problem is not having an iphone yet.:p But good luck on fixing that problem, a hard reset is the first thing i would think of too.

I got that too, the only way to answer if it doesn't slide is to press the home key, and then it will let you slide. I'm not sure why it does that, but that's the only solution.

As an alternative to a hard reset you can try closing all the applications. This can be done by holding down the Home button at the bottom of the device for about 8 seconds. To confirm you've actually closed the programs you should actually launch any program first then hold down the button until the program closes and you end up in the home screen.

BTW- It's unclear to me that doing this closes all the applications on the device or just the one you happen to be in. Anyone know?
