First time apple user

So im installing ios 10 on my 6s plus. It made a symbol with a charger and itunes, so i put my phone in the pc, and it said there is a problem with my iphone or something, and it had to install a update. ( i think ios 10. ) I accept everyhing. Now its downloading a 2,47GB file. Which takes around 1 hour.

Is everything going fine with installing ios 10? Or am i doing something wrong?
 
Apparently a lot of people are experiencing this, here on MacRumors itself. Expect an update/communication from Apple soon. If you do not want to risk bricking your phone in the process, you may want to cancel the update and postpone it till after it is fixed.

How can i cancel this update safely? i dont want to unplug it while its installing?

Do you see, what is evidently a download symbol, on the top right corner of your iTunes screen? Click on that, it should show you options to stop the download.

I stopped it. Unplugged my phone. Hold the power button, apple logo appears, and than the charger itunes screen. is my phone bricked?

Maybe. Not to worry. Is your iTunes updated to the latest version released earlier today? If not, update it, then connect your iPhone to it with a cable and see what message you get.

I just installed itunes like 30 minutes ago, before i connected my phone. So i guess its at the latest version.
 
Its installed. But nothing has happened after the install. I unplugged my phone > Hold the power button > Apple logo appears, and right after that the cable itunes logo. Kept my phone off for a while > Same thing happend. Its not going anywhere. Im stuck on that cable itunes screen. I dont know what to do.

EDIT:

Im fully resetting the iphone. I will wait a couple of days before installing ios 10. This is a headache.

How long did you wait after the update was installed? It takes a while for a major update to be installed and the phone remains inactive for several minutes while the update is being installed. Interrupting this also results in an iTunes logo and Cable screen.

If the phone is frozen, try pressing the Power Button and the Home Button together at the same time until the Apple logo appears.

Thanks so much for your help. I just did a fresh installment, and it automaticly installed ios 10. :) Thanks so much for your help. :)
