I just bought a new 24" iMac and I am getting ready to install Boot Camp + Parallels. I have a few newbie questions:

1) Is it possible to use Parallels VM on the Boot Camp partition? If it is, would any changes made within Boot Camp WinXP be reflected within Parallels WinXP (e.g., desktop background, programs, updates, etc.)?

2) Is it possible to remove the Boot Camp partition at a later time without hosing Macintosh HD? I am not sure what Apple is using out of the box, so my HFS+ might not be journaled.

3) According to the Apple Boot Camp installation instructions, Boot Camp is only available for a limited time. What is the word on the street about this? Will Apple simply stop updating it post-Leopard or will they somehow terminate current Boot Camp installations?

Many thanks.

1) Use Boot Camp to install Windows, then choose the Boot Camp option in Parallels to use that partition.

2) Yes, easily with the Boot Camp assistant

3) The final version (non-beta) will come with Leopard
