First Time Jail Breaker

Hi,

I am an iPhone lover and I have always wanted to jailbreak my iPhone 3G.

I have it up to the most current firmware available.

I'm pretty good at working with software and such but I was looking for some ideas and suggestions on the easiest way I can jailbreak my iPhone.

I DON'T want to unlock it, just jailbreak it.

I'm looking for something easier to work with and also I do want Cydia.

If anyone could help and tell me step-by-step instructions and other helpful info I'd really appreciate it!
