Hi,
I'm very interested in Jail Breaking my iPhone 3g, although don't know very much about it or even where to get started and how to jailbreak it?

Is there a official site with all the jailbreaking information from the jailbreaking community or a site with all the information you need about jailbreaking?

Also once I jailbreak it where can I get apps such as the app which allows me to record video and such?

I'm mainly looking for a complete jail breaking resource site not sure if one exist but if it does let me know. Thanks

Hey, I jailbroke my 3G for the first time last weekend. This was my information resource: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/. I used PWNage by the way. There are two programs that will jailbreak for you, PwnAge and QuickPWN, but I could not get QuickPwn to work on my 10.5.6 MacBook as others are experiencing for whatever reason... It's self explanatory and a very logical process. I figured it out for myself, but I'm used to doing things computer wise on my own. Applications Cydia and Installer are by default put on your iPhone. Those are the equivalents of the App Store and work quite well. Within Cydia you can download the Cycorder video recorder with two taps as well as other popular jailbreak apps like PDAnet allowing tethering and it also works just great! I think you can handle it. Like I said, it's entirely self-explanatory, and I'm enjoying it so far. Good luck!

Thanks for the information, going to jailbreak tonight, also if I jailbreak it then restore it to factory settings at a later date would the apple store be able to tell?

Not easily, so I would say no. They would have to go in depth into the deletion logs. This was a question of mine as well...

Another good guide. I used it when I jailbroke.

Okay, I'm confused. I followed this guide, but I got some different screens. I never got the BootNueter screen, which I think is okay because I don't want to unlock my iPhone, I just want it hacked for Clippy.

Confusing confusing confusing... Everything seems to be working out though okay.
