First time Mac Purchase

So after weeks of debating, I finally decided to get the iMac machine. I went all out and bought the top of the line, 3.0ghz 24" machine. I didn't want to regret getting a lower ended model so I went top of the line.

What do I have to say? Well, I seriously don't know where I've been my whole life, but the mac is incredible! The screen is gorgeous, the OS is amazing. Just about everything about the mac is amazing. I havent touched my Dell laptop ever since.

What was also amazing is that I plugged in my printer to the machine, and wow, you don't even have to install any driver. It just works. That's awesome!

Anyways, I'm very happy with the purchase. It was a lot of money, but it was worth every dime.

I actually look forward to computing at home, and at work I miss some stuff from my Mac. But that is life.

iStat Pro - A Widget to monitor all your machine specs (temps, fan speeds, HDD and ram used/avail)

MenuMeters - Puts an HDD access light on your menubar along with CPU load, network usage, memory in use, etc.

ScreenShot plus - A widget that lets you capture screen shots, windows, widgets and save them to your HDD.

FireFox 3.0 Web browser - Better then Safari in some things, the same in others.

PicLens - Add-on for Firefox, Ultra cool way to view and select web pictures and Youtube videos. You have to see it to appreciate how cool it is.

DeskSaver Plus - Run Any screen saver as your desktop background. From the same guy that makes ScreenShot Plus.

NeoOffice - Why buy MS Office? Get the same functionality for free.

Flip4Mac WMV - Lets you play Windows video files in Safari and through Quicktime.

VLC and MPLayer OS X - Video players that play most video formats out there.
