Good evening all,

I have some questions regarding the Apple IUP program and I thought it was easiest to just start a new thread.

This will be my first time using it. I already got pre-approved last night and chose the phone I want, iPhone Xs.

When buying through the IUP, is there an option for both shipping and in-store pick up?

If I do in-store pick up, will I know what day I can go get it? Can I choose the day? Even with a pre-order and in-store pick up, what can I expect the wait time to be if I do in-store pick up? (I live in the Bay Area and would be picking up from the SF store most likely.)

If I ship it, do they BEGIN shipping next Friday or is it possible to have the phone ON friday? I ask because we are going out of town Friday morning. If it's shipped, is signature required? (If so, can that be bypassed on UPS.com or whoevers site to pre-sign for the package?) We have a relative close by who can pick up the phone from our place if it's dropped off and we're not home.

That's all I got. Basically need to figure out when I can expect the phone and what my best option is since we wont be here Friday.

Even with my pre-approval set, what can I expect at midnight? I'll need to actually sign up for the IUP correct? Can that be done in advance?

I cant remember if iPhone show up for people the week following pre-orders...or the week following release date.

Thanks and good luck to all this evening.

You can ship to home, if you get the order in on time it will arrive Friday, signature is required. In store pickup is probably an option as well, but hasn't been there for every year. It will show the time for an appointment thats available.

I know UPS lets you do authorized release online. Can you do that with an iPhone? (Do they ship with UPS?)

Thanks for your reply by the way.
Yes. They use both UPS and Fedex for phones as well but I believe that if most orders are coming directly from china then it will be UPS. IF they already have inventory at the warehouse they either use UPS or Fedex.
