Just finished my homework for the week earlier this evening. This was my first week in my Color Theory Class. Fun stuff! Tertiary colors, secondary, primaries, complimentary, cool and warm colors, and the history of the color wheen. Sir Isaac Newton invented it :D. The class also slightly dabbles in atomic theory and the various spectrums and strengths of electromagnetic waves. College is getting fun! Check out this weeks homework. I designed these models in Illustrator and Photoshop.

I never thought color theory could be so much fun. I think I am finally understanding the relationship of color models now. I can't wait to see what next week brings, anyways heres my homework I did earlier. Anyone else had color theory as a class? Comments?

Glad you enjoyed it. Based on your positive reaction, if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, you may really enjoy the Color Expert app.

That sounds pretty interesting actually. I would love to have a class like that. Unfortunately computer science falls nowhere near the realm of color theory :(

Yah I love the classes I am getting, I have some photography classes coming up soon. So far this one and the Photoshop class I finished a while ago was the best. The indesign close second and Illustrator third. Illustrator I am still really learning on. That program is deep!

I just checked out the color expert app and it is pretty intriguing. I don't plan on getting an iphone... but would that app work on an iPad if I get one?

What school has the class?

Sounds interesting sort of like a music appreciation class I took a couple of years back, where the teacher gave all sorts of historical "factoids" and little known info, about music and its impact on history. Now you have me wanting to look up newton, and the electromagnetic spectrum.

Yah! Its pretty rad, I signed up for StevensHenager.edu for online college. I am going into my second year, and it's pretty challenging. They gave me a Macbook Pro, Creative Suite Premium and Office 08.. Well you know nothing is free (student loans and grants). But it's pretty good and they are accredited so thats a plus. For a career college they don't really let you slide on much and doing it online is where the challenge is. I attend online seminars and lectures etc.

In any case, Design 1115 is my Color Theory class. It's cool so far. I never knew color theory had such an interesting past. Now that I am learning about it all I am finding it easier to grasp the intricate differences between cmyk, rgb and the like. Awesome class.

My degree is going to take a full four years, and they hit you with a barrage of design related classes. I even have some coding coming up. Great stuff. I am glad I got some of you interested. Newton was pretty dang cool. He bent the color spectrum and made the color wheel, and was using a prism to reflect light and see the colors in it. Neat!

:D
