I'm planning on buying an Apple Watch Series 8 when they come out and just wanted to confirm something about Fitness+. If I follow the strength exercises daily, will it be enough to make me gain a fair bit of muscle or is it just a light workout? I've never used Fitness+ before, so I'm curious what people's opinions on it were.

I’ve tried to use the Fitness+ strength sessions for building strength and muscle, but I don’t think it is anywhere near doing the basic programming that already exists.

it’s good for things like cardio though… with equipment.

I do not use Fitness+ specifically to build muscle, more for general fitness.
But I have noticed the strength workouts have helped with my shoulder and arm muscles, definite improvements
(I am not muscular but have noticed a difference.)
Key for me was it improved my shoulder strength after an injury and it helped it recover.

I use a mix of HIIT, core and strength workouts alongside my running for my physical and indeed mental health.
I enjoy it and find the coaches good and workouts enjoyable.
