Hello everyone,

I recently dropped my charger on the lid of my MacBook Pro, and of course the metal electrical prongs hit my laptop and left a nice little deep scratch. Does anyone have any products or solutions to fill this scratch in to fix it so it’s not noticeable?

See the attached picture for reference. Thanks!

Grey automotive metal filler from the hardware store. Very carefully applied, it won't match the color 100% but it will smooth it out and make it less noticeable.

I get it. In 1996, I bought a brand-new, high-end Martin guitar. In the first week, I accidentally put a small ding in it, and I was devastated. (I have OCD about such things.) Then a friend of mine pointed out Willie Nelson and his Martin guitar (which he named Trigger) and how he’d played it so much that he’d worn a hole through the top with his pick. I stopped worrying about the ding in my guitar and now think of it as a sign that it’s been used, rather than stored in a closet. My Martin is an heirloom that I hope will be passed down through generations. A computer is not. Enjoy it, use it, and don’t worry about the ding. 😊
