I have a XFX Radeon Vega 56 (reference design) which appears to have the original VBIOS based on GPU-Z in Windows.

I only get video out from DVI #3 (the one right next to the HDMI port). I don't have an HDMI to Mini-Displayport to test the HDMI port. I'm driving a 27" Apple Cinema Display (non thunderbolt).

Is this expected? Is it possible that I do not have the stock VBIOS and need to reflash?

Thoughts appreciated.

You are testing it with vanilla Mojave?

One common problem with some cards when running unsupported macOS releases is that you will lose some ports, iMacPro1,1 boardID is the first thing that goes to mind.

Alex,

I haven't tested it with Vanilla Mojave which I will do.

I am spoofing MacPro7,1 following @cdf's manual opencore guide.

EDIT - All three DVI ports working in Mojave. Other thoughts? Do I need to change anything in the DeviceProperties section of my config.plist? I have the path to my graphics card with rebuild-device-tree as 0 and unfairgva as 1.

Alex,

After it working in Mojave I used gfxutil again and noticed a change to my graphics card path. It changed from:

PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
to
PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)

I made that change to my config.plist and all three DVI ports seem to be working.

Thanks for the reminder to check in Mojave.
