Myself and a few friends of mine have been having issues with iMessage the last few days, and after much chagrin (signing in and out, resetting settings etc) I've found the definitive fix!
Here’s what you do.
1. Go to settings
2. Turn off iMessage.
3. Turn off FaceTime.
4. Restart phone
5. Open settings
6. Check to make sure FaceTime is off.
7. Enable iMessage and wait 30 seconds
8. Restart settings app.
9. Check iMessage , see if our number is ticked under send and receive.
10. Turn on FaceTime.
After that, your first few messages to an iMessage contact will be a gross green SMS, but very soon it should snap back to brilliant blue iMessage goodness.
