Fixed in warranty, same issue again out of warranty. Coverage?

Hi!

I had these grey smudges in the bottom left and right corners of my mac 2 years ago, so I took it into an Apple store under warranty and they replaced the screen, no charge.

It's a pretty common problem if you look around the internet, but it seems it hasn't been solved yet as they are basically back completely. It's not that obstructing, but kinda obvious when the screen is all white/grey.

So my question is: What are my chances that my iMac is elligible for another free repair? It's out of warranty, but the problem isn't fixed (still have all communication and documents of last repair). Or is it just "though luck" for me?

Want to have an estimate before I begin transporting something rather expensive.

Give them a call. Technically a 2 year old repair in warranty doesn't mean they'll cover the cost of the repair now. They may but I think its up to the individual who takes the case, that is, I can say they will, but until you walk into the apple store, you really don't know if that genius will
