Hi, first of all, I don't know whether this is a already discussed issue; tried using the search but nothing showed up.

I am the lucky owner of a Core Duo Macbook, bought last year somewhere around October. However, since January, my clickpad makes weird noises when I click it, as if it is not in the right place. Someone told me to put a little piece of paper between the battery and the underlaying mechanism of the button, which surprisingly worked for a while.
I am however back to square one, and my clickpad is not only annoying me, but also my classmates when I use my Macbook for notetakeing. Is there anyone with a similar issue, or should this be taken to Apple directly?

Thanks

I have a Core Duo MacBook and after I'd had it for a while I found that the left side of the button didn't register when it was clicked a lot of the time. Don't think it's the exact same issue, but it sounds like something similar.

Anyway, I sent mine back and had it fixed. Makes using it a lot less annoying so I'd send yours back.
