I'm tying to create the pattern of a flag fabric. Anyone who knows how or where to find a close-up image of the pattern of a flag fabric?

Flags are traditionally made from ordinary woven fabrics. Search for examples of linen or canvas, those will turn up examples of the kind of stuff usually seen in outdoor flags.

For indoor flags, silk or nylon are pretty common too.

Thanks iMeowbot. I found some Artist Patterns that looks a little like flag canvas. But they are very expensive to buy use.

Could you find or buy a length of fabric and photograph it (or even run it through a scanner) to make your own? That would take care of the royalty problem.

Good idea iMeowbot I'll try that maybe that's the solution I have been looking for;)
