Ehhhhhhh, I know this won't help you much but there is a very cool Flash software available for Windows called Swish Max, very easy to use and actually it can do most of the stuff Macromedia can, and it can also get really advanced but you need to learn action script language, but overall it is a whole lot easier to use than Macromedia Flash, most of the stuff is just drag and drop as well as easy to follow menus.

But again, it's Windows only but I really do wish they would make a Mac version for it. I actually emailed them about it and basically they said that they have no current plans to support any other OS except ***** Windows
