Hey everyone. I recently came across the teaser Gizmondo site and really like their intro. I know it is a template but I'm just wondering how one would even go about making something like that? I have basic Flash nailed down and I'm wondering if there are any tutorials for more advanced content like that?

that looks like Motion or After Effects (or something else), not flash.

Actually a lot of that can be done with flash with the right plug-ins.

that is one that will help. Now they very possibly used AfterEffects too, but a lot of that is possibly with Flash.

Pretty slick intro. I am just starting to dabble in Flash myself and am also interested on how this is done.

i saw the exact same intro with different words last night at psdmedia.com.au. Somehow, i don't think gizmondo made that animation from scratch

While the effects from this teaser *could* be done in flash, they would
a) take a while to recreate in flash and
b) be a pretty heavy load on the player to handle all the math/3d effects

So I would assume that this was a combination of Flash and AfterEffect/Motion taking the best of what each has to offer. Letting AE handle the 3d effects. Then rendering out the video with cuePoints at the proper locations. Then Setting all your text in flash and linking it back to your video element.

And yes. if you do a search for Tutorials working with cuePoints in Flash video you can find a bunch.
