Flash + Javascript on local disk

Hi,

Is there a way to bypass the security for a flash object which is trying to run a javascript on a page which is local.

I am handing up a assignment for design and would prefer if the moderators didnt have to play with flash security


User clicks on menu item, runs script loadContent("NEWS.htm");, javascript fetches the page and puts it into the content div

You can run Flash files locally if you do two things:

In the OBJECT tag include the parameter/value pair allowScriptAccess/always and go to this URL:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html

Change the setting to Always Allow.

You can then run your Flash files and any JavaScript ExternalAPI stuff locally.
