I am starting a website for web cam chat and noticed my hosting account does not allow flash media streaming. I looked into others but noticed the outrageous monthly fees. What I am wondering if there is a way that I can just make my own server on my iMac and have unlimited streaming viewers for my website? If so, what product should I use? Also, if you don't recommend this can you tell me a fair priced hosting provider that will allow as much traffic (unlimited) that comes to my site at a good price?

Thanks, this media server stuff is new to me.

Could you try a non-flash webcam chat protocol? The flash version is expensive because it requires adobe licenses, it's not going to get any cheaper.
