flash plug-in or not?

As our new MBA does not come with flash plug-in, will you guys install into yours or just let it be. It seems that we heard some bad comments about after the installation.
Any comment?
 
If you want it or need it, get it. The only issue I'm aware of is that Flash will cause you to use more battery because of all the Flash ads on the Internet. But even after installed, you can disable it in Safari/Firefox/Chrome settings.

I would recommend installing the YouTube5 Safari extension from http://www.verticalforest.com/2010/10/27/youtube5-version-2/ - this will force any YouTube links to load the HTML5/h.264 versions of YouTube videos so that you don't need Flash to view them.

Then, I would also install Google Chrome, since it has the Flash player built in and so doesn't depend on the same install as Safari/Firefox/etc. John Gruber had a great article on how to set things up to use Safari without Flash as your default browser, and then set up a keyboard shortcut to open any site that needs Flash in Chrome. This will give you the best of both worlds - no Flash in Safari, but easy access to it if necessary.
 
Why not just install ClickToFlash....doesn't that effectively disable flash unless you need it?
 
Also, for those who prefer Chrome and are willing to use a less stable version with more features, the dev channel build now has built-in click-to-flash. You can find it in Preferences - Under the Hood - Content settings - Plug-ins - Click to play.
 
I'm running without the flash extension or click to flash. I do have the Youtube5 safari extension installed. It forces any Youtube video to be loaded as H.264. So far everything is working well except Hulu.

one more endorsement for clicktoflash ... improves battery and makes the Internet so much better without all those annoying Ads.

What a good site to learn how to use my MBA.
 
+whatever number for Click-to-Flash. Been using it for years.

Only flash when you need it and I easily get 6+ hours on my battery surfing and writing.
