Flashblock and other Battery Saving features?

Hi

I'm new to Mac and love FF, but noticed it is a huge CPU hog on my MBA compared to Chrome or Safari. I also noticed flash takes a lot of CPU so i installed a chrome flash block that let's me click on flash before I see/use it.

Are there any other tips/tricks/etc you can recommend to help my battery life? I also disabled the dashboard as I saw that sucking up CPU.
