Hi,

My Mac Pro died recently so Im building out a plain old PC. The nMP isnt really for me.

I have a GTX680 that I flashed a while back with a BIOS so it would work in the Mac Pro with Bootscreens etc. Its still working from what I can tell. Id like to take this card and use it in my new PC.

Will a flashed card work in a regular PC? Do the changes to the BIOS pose a risk to my new system at all?

Yes. If you are using the same freely available ROM that's been floating around as everyone else, then it does not pose a risk to the system at all.

The only caveat is that you won't be able to use the UEFI ability to "Fast Boot" Windows. But there is nothing stopping you from re-flashing the card with a UEFI GTX680 rom once you have Windows up and running.
