Hi All,

This forum has been invaluable to me while I've been upgrading my long beloved mid-2010 Mac Pro. All that is left is to flash my GTX 760 so I can get the boot screen on Mojave (10.14.5). I've googled, and searched, and sorted... but I can't find any direct explanation or walkthrough on how to flash my specific card on my specific machine. I'm pretty comfortable when it comes to tech, but this seems like it may be out of my ability to figure out.

Would appreciate any guidance/links to a trustworthy tutorial.

Thanks!

AFAIK Mojave and forward does not support Nvidia GPUs. High Sierra doesn't either, but Nvidia supplied the drivers. But due to some kind of conflict between Apple and Nvidia, Nvidia is now out. I recently retired my MacVidCards flashed GTX 1080, so I could move to Mojave. I am now running an MVC flashed RX 580, and inferior card to my GTX.

As far as flashing your GPU, again AFAIK, the only source is:

http://www.macvidcards.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html

And, then you will be limited to High Sierra.

I'm far from being a Mac expert, but Mojave absolutely supports gtx 760... I'm on it now, and multiple articles said it was good before I upgraded.

That's correct, for now the 600 and 700 series *should* work with native MacOS drivers, as the 2013 iMac shipped with a GT750M, if memory serves.

However, flashing it? No one has publicly available roms and it's quite controversial to try to get one. The card should continue to work fine without boot screen.

Interesting! Glad I asked before trying anything stupid.
