I've sporadically had pretty intense bouts of flashing green pixels in vista, installed through boot camp on my 24" 2.4 ghz imac. I see some people are reporting this issue on the apple support forums. I'm curious how widespread this issue is; it surely appears to be affecting a significant number of users.

further, has anyone been able to resolve this issue? the only thing of interest that i've seen is that the driver updates from my leopard disk seem to have installed ati radeon 2600 drivers when i'm pretty sure the imac in question has a 2400. not sure if this is significant or not, though.

Hopefully apple addresses this issue very soon, from all accounts i've read, they are culpable, rather than MS.

Edit: actually, they are kind of white, just to be clear.

Hi, thanks for responding. I think you're right that it is hardware generated, but it appears the firmware update might have worked around it somehow, I havent seen it since and I'm pretty happy about that. My computer is still under warranty for 8 months or so, though, if anything comes up again I'll take your advice.

Thanks.
