Flashing keyboard light in XP with Inputremapper on MBA

I installed XP SP2 on my Air. Runs fine. then I installed Inputremapper.

Although it adds some nice features, it also adds a flashing keyboard light.

And the program itself behaves a bit unusual; causing quite high cpu spikes.

Did anyone else experience anything similar?

Could it maybe be influenced by me installing MS dotnet 2.0?

Is there any other solution to control the keyboard light in XP?

So no one else experienced this problem?

Then I assume it was caused by a conflict with ms dotnet. Not sure though.
