Question:
I'm in possession of an nVidia Quadro FX 4500 card with BIOS version 5.70.02.41.03. I have an Early 2008 Mac pro and I was noticing on the wikipedia article that they came with "Optional nVidia GeForce 8800 GT with 512 MB GDDR3 SDRAM (two dual-link DVI ports) or nVidia Quadro FX 5600 1.5 GB (stereo 3D, two dual-link DVI ports)"
It's currently running the GeForce 8800 GT, which got me to thinking that maybe with the Quadro FX being one version younger than the FX 5600 perhaps it was possible to flash and install. I couldn't find much on google. Any one know if it'd work. I'd hate to brick a $300 card for nothing.
