iPod Flashing red line in rented movie?

So I rented my first movie today, and twice while I was watching it, I got this flashing horizontal red line across the screen. Pressing Pause/Play made it go away, but Im just wondering what it was? Im still getting some random screen artifacts since upgrading to Leopard, but they don't look like this, and they don't flash. FWIW the movie was "Harry Potter, and The Order of the Pheonix" Anyone else experience this?
