Not supposed to happen.

Is it flashing grey, white, black or some other wonderful hue from our extensive visible spectrum? Does this happen if the machine goes to sleep in other ways (keyboard shortcut, Apple menu, Energy Saver timing settings)?

i agree with mad jew above, but i also think that you should repair permissions. how old is the powerbook? brand new? a couple weeks old? Has it done this forever?

it's not flashing a particular colour, it's more like a flicker
the screen goes black and it flashes/flickers white faintly on the right side
when it goes to sleep
it's roughly a month old
i just noticed it as i used to close the lid when i put it to sleep and didn't see it
why would i need to repair permissions?
help out guys cause i've got all my university work on it and i can't really send it out to be serviced, plus the nearest service point is like 3 hours away

ok, sorted

i unticked the "allow bluetooth devices to wake the computer" and it's ok

maybe this should be a sticky or something so anyone with the same problem can see the solution
