I subscribe to Andrew Robson's BridgeCast, but have this difficulty. My browser is Chrome, the latest version (I reinstalled it today). When I try to launch the podcast, a flashing circle appears on the screen (as in the attachment to this post). However, if I use Safari, this does not happen. I am visually impaired, and Chrome has by far the best graphics for me, so I do not want to change browser. I hope that you can help !

Out of curiosity: In which way does Chrome have the "best graphics"?
I use the James White design for appearance, with white text on a black background, and enlarged font, which is Gill Sans, as I I find easier to read. Many, many improvements are still needed, but that is keeping me going at my deplorably advanced age of 82

The circle is a loading icon. It means "wait a moment, your podcast (or other video) is downloading, getting ready to play" (or similar). That appears when your podcast is first loading, and should normally not be showing while you are viewing your podcast. You might see it again when you go to another podcast. Pretty normal.
Chrome shows that loading icon with a slightly different appearance, compared to Safari, but that's what it is. When I see it more frequently, I will often restart my router, which can help you, too.

Thank you for that. However, restarting my router has not improved matters. It mystifies me that Safari on the other hand can load the podcast instantly.

This morning, Chrome is working perfectly, and loading the instalments with no Flashing Circle, and without my having made any adjustments. Mysterious, but I am happy.
