iPhone Flex 2.0 Help

Hi,

Can any users of Flex explain to me why it fails to process Cydia.app and iModGame.app? It doesn't just fail but it seems to go into an infinite loop of a processing state. There are some Cydia tweak in the Flex cloud so I'm assuming someone has found a way to process at least that app. Anyone else have any luck? Thanks.

Because they run as root.

And I believe older versions of Flex ran as root so this could explain why there are some older patches.

I installed an older version of Flex, that runs as root and...it worked, sort of. Cydia runs as a bash script that calls the MobileCydia app. I had to temporarily rename the bash script from "Cydia" to "Cydia.org" and rename the application from "MobileCydia" to "Cydia." Once I did that, I was able to process it in Flex.

And then to get Cydia to run again I had to reverse my temp naming: "Cydia" back to "MobileCydia" and then "Cydia.org" back to "Cydia."

Now my Cydia app is processed, but none of the overrides that I tried did anything. My guess, is because it is trying to override that shell script, not the actual app.

What exactly are you trying to do to Cydia, anyway?

I have been making many mods for apps using Flex. Many of which are very helpful. For example, I have published a mod to allow anyone to download apps that are not supported through the appstore.

For Cydia, I would like to peak at the processes I can mod. I am sure I can release some handy mods if I could figure out a way to successfully do this.

Even if you can get them to work in an older version of Flex that runs as root, they probably won't work for anyone else because no one else will have the root version of Flex. And as I said, none of the override methods I tried work at all but here you go. Unzip this, put it in /private/var/mobile/Documents/Flex, force close Flex through the app switcher and relaunch.
