This is my current favorite IM solution. Even though its a single window, which is nice, if you are in a different site or not even in a browser you can now get SMS or Email alerts of any incomming IMs so you can leave it running in the background where it doesnt use up your resources.

In talking with the developer the SMS alert is pretty nice. If you are in the browser it will constantly hit the server, which really impacts the battery life. If you are out of the Safari your phone doesn't communicate with the server so there is no impact on battery life. Flick's software register's you as away and will then send an alert. So if you have the upgraded TXT plan Flick is a good IM solution that won't kill your battery while allowing you to get noticible announcements of incomming IMs.
