Hello everyone,

I basically have two questions.
First, as you can see on the photo, there is a flickering bar on the screen of my macbook air from 2013. It is not alway there but ussually its very persistent. Based on some google searches it is hard to fix this yourself. So far everything I tried has not worked (pressuring the screen etc). Does anyone have ideas?

Secondly, I was wondering whether it would be worth it to get the screen repaired by either a macstore or some other computer store. Especially, since my macbook also states that i should replace the battery soon. Would it be worth it to invest money in the repairs or should I buy a new laptop.

I appreciate any imput, thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Dave

The mid-2013 Air is still an excellent machine.

My recommendation: find a used Air with a working screen, battery, and replace the parts yourself. All parts in the mid-2013 to 2018 Air are completely interchangeable.

Thank you, I will have a look if I can find the part and if I think it is manageable to replace them myself.
