I've been experiencing this issue off and on over the past 6 months. I want to point out that the picture below is not my desktop (i'm not home right now to take a screenshot) but it's an example I found online that looks exactly like what I'm dealing with. The issue only occurs on my desktop...not within any of the windows that are open so I'm not sure what exactly could be the problem. I would think a GPU issue would affect the pixels within an open window but the only time this occurs is when the desktop is visible. Anyone have any experience with this kind of issue?
I'm hoping my imac is dying. I'm trying to wait until the new Skylake 21.5 in imacs are out before I upgrade. Been putting it off for a while now though.
