Im having a problem with my flickr buddy icon. Its says it needs to be 48 by 48 but for some reason it makes it all fat and pixelated. I have tryed 38 by 48 which looks ok at 300 dpi but when it goes to flickr it just makes it fat.

What to do?

Ask flickr?

Why are you using 300 dpi? It's probably too large of a file size. Why not post up here at MacRumors the Flickr buddy icon guidelines?

That's because it's stretching it to 48 from 38. If you are uploading a pic from your computer, make sure it's 48x48. Add some white space on the sides or something.

Here are the guidelines. It seemed to be clearer with 300dpi. The original was 72 but it was all pixelated.

It's a 48 pixel by 48 pixel image. DPI doesnt mean squat. As I said before, make it square or it's going to stretch it.

Yea obviously it HAS to be 48x48 and Flickr will stretch anything smaller to that size. I wouldn't know though, as I'm using the default disgruntled looking Flickr smiley.
