Flickr issues

Anybody else having difficulty logging into a Flickr account using gmail?
They have updated the iOS app and now I can't login. I'm still logged in on my Mac, but can't login on my work PC.
Now I'm worried if I log out of my account on my iMac (which I don't very often) I won't get back in.
I know I'm using the correct password as I just get a message saying we can't log you in at this time, please try later.
I got this lady night and this morning.
Any suggestions or just wait it out?
Using Chrome at work on Windows 7 and running the latest version of iOS 7.

I'm already logged in via Safari on my Mac and the Flickr app on my iPhone.

If I try to log in via Safari on the iPhone I get the subtly different message:

Sorry, we were unable to proceed with your request. Please try again.

Rubbish isn't it? I now can't log out of my Mac or else it will be stuck out. It's been like this since yesterday.

Okay guys. So basically you can no longer log into Flickr with a gmail account. You have to log in with Facebook or a yahoo account. I had to create a yahoo one, but at least it was relatively easy to link the two together. Just means I have another email address I will never use and will probably forget!

In January 2007, Flickr announced that "Old Skool" members—those who had joined before the Yahoo acquisition—would be required to associate their account with a Yahoo ID by 15 March to continue using the service. This move was criticized by some users.

I created an (otherwise unused) Yahoo account at this time and had no idea that they'd subsequently relented on this requirement (until now, seemingly).

This move was criticized by some users: heh, it was the beginning of the end. A slow, slow death... stupid Yahoo.

Yes it is a bit annoying. At least my initial frustration of not being able to get logged on is resolved. just wish they wouldn't have made me give them my mobile number to create a yahoo account. Now I'll no doubt get a load more nuisance calls!
