I have only recently started using Flickr.com.
My problem: Every photo I upload from my iPhone 3gs has a Taken On date of the date the I uploaded it!!

I have tried using 2 different apps:
-The official Flickr app
-Flickit

Both do the same.
There are other apps, for example:
-Flickup
-Mobile Fotos
Both of which you have to pay for, which i am happy to do if i know it will sort the issue.

Can someone help me, am I doing something wrong? is the iphone incapable of uploading the info? are the apps i have tried at fault?

Really would appreciate some help.

Thanks,
PD

it's a limitation of the API that apple provide.

the only way to get it done correctly is to copy the photo and paste it into an email and then email the photo to flickr. that will keep ALL the EXIF info.

Thanks so much for the reply, that would explain it.
I am a bit confused though as I checked out the description for 'Mobile Fotos' and it states "As of version 2.4 Mobile Fotos is able to use the original timestamp and GPS location (if available) from your Camera Roll".
This seems to suggest it can do it, no??

Really tempted to buy it, just dont want to spend the £3 (I know it is only £3, but i have spent far too much on apps recently), and find it is a limitation as you state!!

Anyone else got Mobile Foto's who can tell me one way or another if it has some way to do this?
