I just upgraded to Macbook pro i7 and am pretty dissapointed with how slowly FSX is playing on Windows 7.
I thught I could max all the settings out and get like 50 fps but its more like 15 fps, even on just 1024 pixels resolution.

Any idea whats going on? ? It is absurd that a game that is five years old can't run smoothly on this top of the range mac.

FSX runs horrible on any platform IMO. I quit playing them because how many resources the game requires is insane! I'd consider lucky at 10FPS.
But, to not bash- on your FSX, which SP are you running?? SP1? There are new SP's out that improve video card support/resources.

I run it on a 2008 Macpro and I get about 20 to 30 FPS and that with the setting at one down from the highest. Mae sure you have SP2 installed and turn off AI aircraft.
