I know there was a thread about this a year or two ago, but it's completely outdated now due to the changing dynamics of the field with the biggest player exiting....
So I have used FlightTrack Pro (the paid version of FlightTrack), made by a company called MobiData, which was subsequently bought by Expedia a couple years back. I liked it because it was BASIC (especially the early versions I clung to till the very end). They also released an app called FlightBoard where you could type an airport code in and see all of the inbound\outbound flights for an airport.
Sadly, Expedia basically killed Mobidata a month or two ago. This ended FlightStats Pro and FlightBoard's data feed rendering the apps useless. Someone seems to have bought Flightboard, and has a half-baked version of it, but it's not great.
Since then, I've tried everything... FlightStats, FlightAware, FlightView... nothing is as simple and "just works" like FlightTrack Pro did. I don't understand why it's so difficult to find. The above mentioned apps don't update as well when a gate changes or a delay happens, and they're cumbersome and awkward to use.
Curious as to what people use. Anything that just works? I often have 5-10 flights planned out ver a month or two period, and I liked that FlightTrack Pro let me add them all. I liked that it wasn't bogged down with a million useless features, just data, and simple to look at.
Thoughts? Ideas? I'd pay to have an app like FlightTrack Pro Back. :-(
