so i went to upgrade my phone to 1.1.4 today and while the update was downloading, i had to leave so i was forced to unplug the cable from the phone..i figured since the update was downloading, it wouldnt make much of a difference because nothing was happening on the phone yet..so i came back and attempted to update it again..i got some sort of error message telling me it didnt finish updating last time..so i went ahead and tried updating the phone..it went to the "preparing iphone for update" status for about 15 minutes, which seemed unusually long..so (like an idiot) i decided to unplug the iphone and try it again..at this point, my itunes is frozen at the "preparing iphone for update" screen..i decide to restart the computer..the iphone is now in recovery mode and when i restart and try to update, it says i need to restore the iphone..so i go to restore the phone and it says that there was an error (2001) and the iphone could not be restored..my iphone went to the restore loop..SOO....

1. what the heck do i do?
2. how the heck do i uninstall itunes from my mac (im new to macs)..i tried uninstalling it but i dont know how to lol

HELLPPPP :confused::confused::confused:

To uninstall iTunes from a Mac, simply go to your Applications folder and drag iTunes into the Trash bin and empty it out.:D

Same as before for anyone that has problems.

Plug iPhone into PC/Mac.

hold down sleep and home button till it goes into restore mode.

If iTunes is being wierd and not restoring its because occasionally it does that.

Swap USB ports and try again and if that fails do it on another computer and it WILL work!
