Flush/short USB-C storage

Hey all

I'm looking to expand my storage in my MBA. As it only has 2 USB-C ports, that's my only choice!

I've done some digging around and I've been unable to find anything in the way of a USB-C stick that is either flush or doesn't protrude too much.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

How much storage do you want to add?

What will the storage be used for?

A USB device will be slower than thunderbolt if it is available.

I just want to have enough to store my entire Photo library, 250GB should cover it. Doesn't need to be fast storage, really. The more discrete, the better.
