Well, the strangest thing just happened.
I was just typing up a paper, doing a little internet surfing, and I look and see that I need to plug in the adapter. Ok, I go get the adapter, plug it in, comp starts charging. About 5-6 min later, I notice that the fans start to speed up. I was thinking WTF, im not doing anything intensive! The fans shoot up to around 4000rpm eventually. I am really scared at this point because I can't help but think what a pain in the ass it'll be to go back to an apple store to get my 6th replacement computer after finally getting one that works right and meets my standards.
Finally the fans start to slow down, and manages to drop to about 2500 rpm....then.....as my luck would have it, it shoots back up to around the same 4000 mark. It eventually went down again, but it is now stuck at about 2500 rpm

Is this something to be concerned about? I find this extremely interesting because this has never happened before EVER on any of the MBPs I've used, and also because the temps stayed the same. The computer is on a flat stable surface, in a cool house. And if it matters, I've noticed that if you put your ear near the magsafe port on the computer, you can hear a faint, electrical buzzing/static noise, though I figured at first it was just how the computer works.

Any help in explaining this rather disconcerting occurance is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

edit:
well it seems to have gone back down to 2000 rpm after a quick sleep, but still what could have happened?

I was charging mine today (3rd charge, pretty much the first charge while I am at the computer), and I was basically surfing with a pdf open. Then the fan went to 4ks and down again for 2 times. My CPU temperature was pretty low (just after turning it on) so it didn't really bother me.

That has happened to me once so far, and I was somewhat worried but I just told myself that the fans are doing their job and not to worry. They went back down eventually. I too was charging. I have also noticed that sound coming from the power plug. It worried me so I called in and a replacement power cord is on its way to me.
