Focus Mode. I'm confused.

This is what I want. A focus mode which allows all notifications and calls, but with no audio alerts. Pretty much what the old DND did. How could I achieve this? I am confused that Focus does not mention silent notifications at all. Is this assumed when you have a focus mode active?

Just flip the ring/silent switch to "silent" (button shows orange) on the left side of the phone. That way you'll get all notifications and calls without audio alerts.

Nooooo! Thank you for your reply, but I really don't want to flick a switch! I have never liked that arrangement because I always forget to flick it back, and sometimes forget to enable it in the first place. The old DND mode was perfect as it automatically went back to normal after I left that location. Focus mode auto enables based on location too and disables when I leave that location - I just want to make sure I see everything if I check my phone during a work break. It reads like you don't get any notifications while that focus mode is active. I want visual notifications, just not audio.

Ok, they won't be on the lock screen, but if you unlock your iPhone and then swipe down from the top to open Notification Center, it will show what notifications you received while in DND mode.
