On iOS 14 and prior is used ”Do not disturb“ mode to disable the display turning on at a notifications coming in, but still showing them on the lock screen when manually turning on the display and getting banner-notifications while using the phone.

I can not find a way to recreate this behavior with the new focus modes. Does anybody have an idea how to get this back?

Bumping this post. I have the same question. Specifically I’d like to continue receiving banner notifications when on focus mode and phone is unlocked.

its much easier to leave focus mode on during lunch and still be able to text with a friend without wondering if they texted you back and having to switch back and forth between apps.

It doesn't work that way anymore. That's why Apple gives you the option to choose the specific people and apps you want to hear from. Time Sensitive notifications are available for developers so you can silence an app in your focus mode bust still have important information come through.

Using Do not disturb, allow all apps notification and this

This is not working. For the allowed apps the screen lights up and other apps do not get any notifications (no banner when using the phone).

I want this behavior on my iPad. So I need to turn off "lockscreen" on every app notification settings. I can do this, because I don't want to my iPad turn on screen for notification ever. But for iPhone it could bed tricky.
