Gawd! This is irritating…

I'm working in any application, it doesn't matter which one, and every so often the focus will switch away from the application to the Finder. I can be typing, or using the mouse, or just staring at the screen. It doesn't seem to be caused by my actions. I haven't timed the intervals, so I don't know if they are equally spaced or completely random.

Anyone hear of this? Any ideas?

Check my sig for system config info.

I've had this happen, too! It only occurred a few times for me, and I always thought I must have accidentally clicked on the desktop and not noticed.

If you're using bluetooth, it may be a device you thought was switched off. I used to keep a Magic Mouse in my backpack. Unbeknownst to me, it got switched on through jostling around, and caused all sorts of unexpected behavior until I figured it out.

I'll have to check on that. I've got an old track pad lying around, but I'm sure it's either off or without a battery.

I might try turning Bluetooth off as a test. I've got a wired mouse I can use for that.
