I assume you mean in store as both sizes still available for delivery before Friday in Hong Kong.

They did the same with the green sports band in the autumn, this isn't new. They'll have the up to date "collection" in stores and other older colours online only.

Online or in stores. After I noticed them unavailable online I dropped by the store to pick them up, was told they were pulled.

Found them at Best Buy though.

All but the 38 vintage rose still available online in the uk. All available in China.

Odd. I imagine they haven't been "pulled" but perhaps allowed to sell through.

A few weeks back a few different colours were listed as unavailable on the UK store. I think these could come back.

@MaulRx - how sure was the sales rep?

with the greatest respect to them, Apple Store employees are notorious for talking with the authority of Tim Cook and the insider knowledge of Steven Seagal.

Well I know that, but the fact that they weren't on the shelf and are currently unavailable online tells me there is some truth to the story. Either way I managed to pick them up. 5 more colors and I will have them all!

But they are available online in some countries as i said above. Apple doesn't have separate stocking policies for each country.

and they aren't available in others...something is up with those two.
I would imagine that by "pulling" the bands the stores are merely no longer displaying them. There certainly isn't space in most stores to show 20+ colours.

I'd expect if they were no longer being manufactured, the colours would be removed from the online store entirely.

Bands have shown as "currently unavailable" on the online store before and then subsequently become available again.

Apple doesn't have separate stocking policies for each country.

Except that while discontinuance is invariably uniform globally, the range of availability varies wildly around the world, and every region has a different SKU.

The former is what I meant, I probably wasn't clear enough though. I should have said destocking I suppose.

The new colours, for example, deliver tomorrow in Hong Kong. All the older bands wouldn't deliver til Monday.

It's possibly just a case of prioritising other shipments over relatively low volume items, or even prioritising manufacturing of the newer colours.

If they were discontinued they'd be removed from the online store entirely.

FWIW, a friend who works for Apple (non-retail) was given 50% off on a lot of different sport bands on Easter, including vintage rose, the bright green, bright blue, what looks like it might be the fog color, the old "pink" (which is very similar to the current apricot), along with a few modern buckles and classic buckles, etc. I took that as a sign that they were going to be phasing those out, but who knows?

Not true, I have one. You can still get them on Walmart. It's worth noting that fog isn't even listed in the app for that size though currently

I saw it finally on Walmart and B&H photos websites. Why are they pulled from everywhere else??

Thanks for this info! I have been looking everywhere for a Fog band and finally remembered to check the forums. I allegedly ordered the last one from Walmart.

Loads of bands are unavailable in the UK,Classic buckle only available in saddle brown, and lots of other styles in different colours are missing. And no silver stainless steel 42mm anymore.
