Folders:
Is there any way to add more than 12 apps to one folder? Also, is it possible to change the icon for folders?

Newsstand:
I've downloaded several newspaper apps, but none of them seem to be compatible with Newsstand. Is there any way I can add these apps to Newsstand, or remove Newsstand altogether?

Thanks.

As far as Apple is concerned you can only have 12 per folder unless you jailbreak (not yet available for iOS 5)

From iOS User Guide on Apple.com:
"Folders let you organize apps on the Home screen. You can put up to 12 apps in a folder. iPhone names a folder automatically when you create it, based on the category of the apps you use to create the folder. You can change the name anytime you want. Like apps, folders can be rearranged by dragging them on the Home screens, or to the Dock."

Things for newsstand are available within the newsstand app itself. Click on "store" on the top right corner.

Oh, I see. Thanks for clarifying. I don't have an iPad so I'll just take your word for it that you can add up to 20 apps to a folder however on the iPhone you can only add 12.

I checked one of my folders to make sure and it was 20.

This Forum is for iOS 5 and many posters don't state if they are using an iPhone or iPad. Interesting that there are differences.

Interesting. I didn't know there was a folder items difference on iPad v. iPhone.
I sold my original iPad to Gazelle and was gonna get an iPad2, but that never happened sadly.

Thanks for the replies. And yes, I'm using an iPhone 4S.

Hmm, so I guess I'm limited to 12 apps per folder. Does anyone know if you can change the folder icon? Also, has anyone been able to delete Newsstand? If I can't add my newspaper apps to it, then it's completely useless... I don't read the NYT.

robbieduncan already answered your first question: no. Also, no you cannot delete Newsstand however you can place it into a folder so it's essentially hidden from view. Lastly, have a look at Newsstand's store for newspapers other than the New York Times.
