Folx is a macOS BitTorrent client that properly loads as a dmg file. This is a paid-for app; you can subscribe or make a one-time payment. I have long since concluded that you get what you pay for. BitTorrent is used by NASA, USGS, NOAA, Internet Archives, and others for downloading. It is handy on Internet Archives, where you can download radio shows like Gun Smoke, Country Gentleman, and Ft Laramie. The protocol is you seed the file you leeched for at least as long as it takes to upload the file back. Folx has a setting for this. I asked some NASA IT people I know about this, and they told me they like it because it takes a load off of their servers, they seed the file, and as more people leech and seed these files, it speeds up the download and distributes the load over many computers.
