Hello,

I am looking for a Folx Download Manager alternative

The problem I have with Folx Pro is everytime I have to format my Mac in order to perform a clean install, I have to contact with Eltima for a new serial number, and since some apps from this developer were Infected With Malware (Eltima Software's Elmedia Player and Folx)
https://www.macrumors.com/2017/10/20/eltima-software-infected-with-malware/
They have lost my trust

Not From Mac App Store, Not From softonic.com or similar sites, macOS High Sierra ready, I really don't care if is payware and of course NO MALWARE!!!

Thanks
Came

I'm a big fan of iGetter http://www.igetter.net/index.html, had it nearly 4 years now and hasn't given me any major problems. If you use the newer Firefox, the extension as installed doesn't work but there is a bit of a workaround on the forums to get something going, on Safari or Chrome it's all good though.

definitely FDM free download manager. cant complaint rapid and free
Hey man. I installed it a while ago and used it for some time. It's looks like a great app. Thank for recommending.

Although I can't get the Safari extension to work. Chrome works perfectly. But Safari doesn't work no matter what. DO you know any solution?

So far no solution work. I dont even try with other browsers, so far quiet happy able to download something that  restricts us to do . But anyway will keep you updated if i found new way to do so.

I'm loving it. IMO it's better than Folx.
I'll update this thread the day I find a safari extension that works.

I use an app called Download Buddy

It's £2.99 (UK price) - don't think there is a Safari extension
