On the eve of every MacWorld (and sometimes the weeks leading up to them) I always get that giddy feeling I used to get on Christmas Eve when I was eight years old and praying I'd find a GI Joe headquarters under the tree the next morning (For the record: best Christmas ever!!!).

MacWorld Eve also makes me remember some of the previous MacWorld events (and other release events). Some of my favorites were:

- iMac G4
- iPod (any generation jump, mini, nano, etc.)
- PowerMac G5
- iMac G5
- Intel announcement (although I never thought I'd say that)

Yeah, I'm a geek...

So what are some of your favorite MacWorld moments? What were some of your biggest letdowns (and I don't mean the repeated lack of a G5 Powerbook!)?
:p

Well, since I have only been an "Apple Addict" for 7 months, I would have to say the iPod Photo. Because it totally redefined the iPod, and the direction it was (and is) heading in.

with the exception of a few ipods, none of those were macworld keynotes.

I don't have a favorite yet, since I have been a Mac user for less than two years. This is my second Macworld I will be experiencing as an actual Mac user, though. The Mac mini amazed me last year. Also, I jumped back in time sometime last year and watched the MWSF 2004 keynote where the iMac G5 was unveiled, and I remember being totally amazed by what Apple is capable of. Ever since then I have been an addict. :D

if you look at the post he states (other release events)

My first one was the "lamp" iMac...Still have the free Newsweek cover framed in my office. But this year I'm more ready. I'll sit a LOT closer, and have the camera at the ready.

mac mini, iMac G5.. i actually loved the WWDC 2005 stevenote.. it's just that twig in your head snapping when you're watching and you realise they're actually moving to intel... that was a classic i rekon.

No one would happen to have that Keynote on hand, would they?
