Hi!
I was working up an answer to a post on MR relating to Fonts and Font Book, working through the details before I replied.

I went into the Font Book app, not used for a few months, and ----- the "Resolve Duplicates" option was greyed out. Uh?

This was on my desktop, a PM G4, so I went to my PB G4, both running Panther (fully updated), and it too had the Resolve Duplicates greyed out. And I KNOW that I did a succesful operation with it on the PB about 6 weeks ago.

Any ideas/suggestions anybody? I've looked on so many Help sites before posting what might be a daft question here.

Thanks for any help from anyone.:)

I don't know much about anything, particularly Font Book, but I wonder if you need an admin account to modify system fonts. Are you running on an admin account? :)

Hi!!!!!!!!! ------- again.... How's your day?:D
I was beginning to worry that the word had gone out ------"No replies!".
I was initially running Font Book under my Daily account, then switched to Admin and it was still greyed out. It's not causing me a headache, apart from the fact that something is not right. Hey ho. Maybe another beer will help.
There were a load of posts in the Thread I had been working in that described how Font Book could be flakey and inferior in many respects to Suitcase.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, though.:)
